Transport Management Plan (TMP)
Key Objectives
- Maximise public transport use for travel to and from the Stadium, and actively discourage reliance on private car travel;
- Minimise the risk of local and regional traffic disturbance and public transport operations before, during and after events;
- Safeguard local residents and businesses from the effects of undesirable crowd and traffic intrusion before and after events;
- Minimise the risk to public safety within the Stadium precinct and walkways servicing the Stadium.
Enforcement & Fines
The recommendations of the plan are strongly enforced, with City of Gold Coast enforcement officers issuing on the spot fines for offending motorists and Police issuing notices and towing vehicles that are a hazard or cause a disruption to local traffic.
Guests attending the Stadium are reminded there is no parking in and around Cbus Super Stadium on event days and are encouraged to use public transport to events. Two-minute parking will be in place in certain areas.
The free travel on Queensland Rail and Kinetic Bus Services on event days demonstrates the importance given to encouraging guests to leave the car at home and travel by public transport.
NOTE: Not all streets within the Traffic Management Area are signed. Guests are responsible for checking whether they are parking within a Traffic Area and complying with parking time limits.
Parking Permits
To ensure local residents are not inconvenienced by parking restrictions, Resident Parking Permits and Visitor Parking Permits are issued by the City of Gold Coast.
Only local residents within the Robina Local Traffic Area can apply for these permits.
When residents park in a street within the defined traffic area on event days they must display the Resident Parking Permit in their vehicle.
