While detailed planning has been undertaken to minimise the impacts on the local community, there may be some disruptions, including changes to traffic conditions, parking conditions and overnight works before, during and after the event.

Event set up and pack down

There will be increased heavy vehicle traffic from Tuesday 25 November until Monday 1 December, with a number of trucks transporting equipment to and from the venue.

Track construction will occur on Thursday 27 November from 12.00pm with dirt deliveries commencing from this time. Track dismantle will begin on Saturday 29 November from 11.00pm with dirt truck movements taking place overnight.

Temporary road closures will be in place on Centreline Place and Stadium Drive throughout these days and will be managed by traffic control officers. Some parking spaces around the venue precinct will be unavailable during this time to ensure safe movement of vehicles.

Rehearsals will take place throughout the day on Friday 28 November.

Event day traffic changes

Parking restrictions, road closures and access to Stadium Drive, Centreline Place, Promethean Drive, Robina Station Road, Cheltenham Drive, Laver Drive and Promenade Avenue will be reduced on Saturday 29 November to accommodate the event and ensure the safe and efficient flow of patrons through the precinct.

Other surrounding streets and roads may also be impacted. Standard event-day parking restrictions within the Robina Traffic Area will also be in place on Saturday 29 November from 8:00am.

Traffic signs will be erected in the relevant streets and barricades will be placed and manned in these areas to enforce restrictions.
