23/04/2026

Cbus Super Stadium has been announced as the host for round four of the 2026 FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) on 21 November when the competition returns to the Gold Coast!

The 2025 Australian GP proved to be a hugely successful round when the international competition hit the Gold Coast for the first time, and this year’s event promises to match that energy.

The WSX is the premier international championship for stadium supercross racing, featuring two main classes: WSX (450cc) and SX2 (250cc).

Cbus Super Stadium General Manager Alie Tatnell said she was thrilled to welcome the World Supercross Championship back to the Gold Coast in 2026.

“It was great to host World Supercross at Cbus Super Stadium last year and we can’t wait to again welcome fans from all over Australia to witness the world’s best riders battle it out,” Ms Tatnell said.

“The energy of supercross is a perfect match for our city’s vibrant sporting culture and it’s great to host international events like this that further add to our venue’s reputation as a major events destination.”

CEO of World Supercross Tom Burwell said, “This announcement is the next step in building our biggest season yet.”

“Returning to strong markets like Canada, Argentina, South Africa and Australia highlights how these GPs have grown year on year, while bringing the championship back to the UK is something fans have been asking for.”

FIM Motocross Commission Director Antonio Alia Portela said, “World Supercross continues to demonstrate its global ambition and elite standard of racing.”

“The 2026 calendar announced so far reflects a strong balance of established markets and world-class destinations, and we look forward to seeing the full calendar confirmed soon.”

The season will kick off in Canada before heading to England, Argentina, Australia, and South Africa, with the final round yet to be announced.
