Cbus Super Stadium has been confirmed to host round four of the 2025 FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX), this 29 November, when the international competition hits the Gold Coast for the first time.

World Supercross is the premier international championship for stadium supercross racing, featuring two main classes: 450cc and 250cc.

The season kicks off in Malaysia before heading to Argentina, Canada and Australia, with the Gold Coast marking the only event in Australia, before the final round in South Africa.

Cbus Super Stadium General Manager Kristian Blundell said he was thrilled to welcome the World Supercross Championship to the Gold Coast for the first time.

“To have Cbus Super Stadium showcase the sport, on a truly global stage is a huge moment, and the energy of supercross is a perfect match for our city’s vibrant sporting culture,” Mr Blundell said.

“Australia has a rich history in supercross and a passionate fanbase and we can’t wait for fans from all over Australia to come and see the world’s best riders battle it out this November!”

“Fresh rivalries and a fierce global competition like this also attract huge international visitor attention, further adding to the Gold Coast’s reputation as a major sports destination.”

Tom Burwell, CEO of World Supercross, said the 2025 calendar would be a defining moment for World Supercross.

“Expanding into new regions like Malaysia, Argentina and South Africa, alongside returning to key markets like the Canada and Australia, highlights our vision to make supercross a truly global spectacle,” Mr Burwell said.

“Delivering elite supercross racing to five continents for the first time is a huge moment. This will be the biggest and best season yet.”

Antonio Alia Portela, FIM Motocross Commission Director said the organisation was laying the foundations for a bold new era.

“Having delivered an exciting championship of racing last year, they are proving their ambition this season by taking supercross further across the globe and creating a World Championship for fans in every continent to get excited about,” Mr Portela said.

“We are excited to see the best riders on the planet battle once again for the ultimate prize – the title of World Champion.”

Team and rider announcements will be released throughout the year as the pace picks up to the first gate drop in Malaysia.
